2. The light I photographed either came from windows in my house or a door.
3. The composition is very plain and empty there are many lone objects in my photographs there is not much in the frame.
4. Yes, there were shadows accompanied by the light.
5. My images create an empty mood/feeling in all of my images it is an object by itself with not much around it.

Artist Inspiration
The artist Joan Jonas inspired me with her use of reflection with her use of mirrors because in this image the single performer sits in the grass holding a mirror that fragments and replicates her body into an way that is almost in its surrealist form. "In both a literal and pictorial sense, Jonas denies the audience any position of stability from which to apprehend what lies before it." I like how this image is a reflection of the performers legs because it just looks really unique.
Mirrors
- What photographer/artist most influenced your photos? The photographer who influenced my photos the most was Joan Jonas.
- What was your location and setting for your photos? The location and setting for my photos are either indoors or outdoors.
- How did you use positioning of the mirror and camera to create your compositions? The positioned the mirror and the camera to create my compositions by taking them at a straight level or at an angle of the object.
- Were you able to create anything unexpected in your reflection? I think I was able to create an illusion of a missing identity with Victoria's eye creeping in the hole as if she did not know who she was. It leaves the question who are you.
- How does your setting contrast with the rest of your image? My setting contrasts with the rest of my images because the background is either really dark and mysterious or bright and bold.
- How would you describe your photos: unexpected? evocative? confusing? playful? Funny? surreal? I would describe my photos as playful.
- What idea/concept are your reflection photos about? A lot of my photos ideas an concepts are either based on hidden identity or new beginnings.
- Were you able to blur the line between illusion and reality? Yes, a mess of missing identity and new beginnings.
Cyanotype
Written Cyanotype Process
1. First I had to invert my original picture of the flower to create a negative.
2. My second step was to take a piece of paper and lightly paint it with the light sensitive chemical mixture.
3. After the paper dried the next day we placed the paper onto a wooden board and the inverted picture on top with a piece of glass over it and clipping each side of the picture with binder clips.
4. Next I went outside and left my picture facing the sun for 12 minutes exposing it to the light. The longer I left it out the darker and the shorter amount of time I left it out the lighter.
5. I then brought my image inside and put it in a bucket of water and got rid of all the yellow on my image.
6. After rinsing it off in the water I then poured hydrogen peroxide on the image to intensify the blue color.
7. Lastly I took my image and left it to dry for 24 hours on the drying rack.
